In observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday, all Castro Valley Unified School District schools and offices will be CLOSED on Monday, June 20, 2022.
Juneteenth was made a federal holiday in 2021 in recognition of the end of slavery in the United States. It is observed every year on June 19, but since it falls on a Sunday this year, it will be officially observed on Monday.
