Dear INDY Families - 

Last week, I shared that Matt Croghan, Rob Matoza, and Nancy Law were selected as our Independent Elementary Employees of the Year.

Well… it gets even better.

I am proud to share that all three of our INDY honorees have now been selected as District-Level Winners for CVUSD.

• 🏆 Matt Croghan – Selected as the Masonic Teacher of the Year (Elementary Level)
• 🏆 Robert Matoza – District Classified Employee of the Year (Custodial & Maintenance Services)
• 🏆 Nancy Law – District Classified Employee of the Year (Clerical & Administrative Services)

This is an extraordinary accomplishment. Out of every school and department in CVUSD, INDY is home to three district-wide winners. That speaks volumes about the caliber of the people who serve your children every single day.

Matt’s 30 years of dedication to students, Rob’s tireless work keeping our campus safe and beautiful, and Nancy’s leadership and heart in our front office represent the very best of who we are as a school community.

Rob and Nancy will now move on to compete at the county level as CVUSD’s nominees for Alameda County Classified Employee of the Year, and Matt will be recognized as one of the top elementary educators in our region.

If you see them on campus, please take a moment to congratulate them. We are incredibly lucky to have them at INDY.
